“JOY IS AN ACT OF

Creating Community Together

Community celebrations in safer and sober settings are vital for fostering a strong, affirming LGBTQ+ recovery community. These spaces allow individuals to connect, express themselves freely, and experience joy without the presence of substances that may compromise their healing. For many, reclaiming joy—especially in a world that often marginalizes LGBTQ+ identities—is a powerful act of resistance. In these gatherings, laughter, dance, art, and shared stories become tools of resilience, helping to rebuild a sense of belonging and pride. Joy in recovery is not just a byproduct of healing; it’s a declaration that LGBTQ+ people deserve to thrive, together and unapologetically.

We hold seperate celebrations for our youth (13 - 17 years old) and our adult community members, ensuring safer spaces for all to experience hope, fun, and connection in affirming spaces.
